Hi, I’m Adnan — a Deaf photographer and BSL user based in Birmingham.
I graduated from Birmingham City University with a BA in Visual Communication, specialising in photography. I now photograph events, sport, people and organisations across Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Being Deaf has made me highly attentive to expression, movement and visual detail. I look for the small interactions that communicate a story without words: a reaction, a gesture, a change in light or the decisive moment in a match.
I work in BSL and written English, making the experience straightforward for Deaf and hearing clients. Before every project, I confirm the timings, priorities and intended use of the photographs. During the shoot, I work calmly and respectfully. Afterwards, I deliver a carefully selected story rather than a large set of repeated frames.
Whether you are planning an event, organising a sports fixture or creating portraits, tell me what you need and I will recommend suitable coverage.
